Christopher E. Maddox, PMP, MBA   
Managing Member, President and Principal Consultant

Chris Maddox is the founder of Capstan Performance LLC.  Prior to founding Capstan, he owned and operated C.E. Maddox Consulting, founded in 2006.  At Capstan, he is responsible for all phases of operations and execution of assignments for our customers.

Mr. Maddox has over thirty years of experience in engineering, project management, operations management and general management, primarily for medical, research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other technology-intensive firms.  His experience is diverse, including mechanical design and engineering, engineering and construction management for multimillion dollar industrial facilities, operations management and general management for pharmaceutical manufacturing, and business and project management

Previously, Mr. Maddox was Vice President, Program Management for Legacy Pharmaceuticals International and General Manager of Legacy’s Humacao, Puerto Rico pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility.  Prior to Legacy, he held Senior Project Management positions for Integrated Project Services and Fluor.

Mr. Maddox studied Biology and Biochemistry at Brandeis University and Engineering Technology at Northeastern University.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Strayer University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland.  He has been a registered Project Management Professional since 2008.

Mr. Maddox is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).  He serves as an instructor and develops classroom materials for the Baltimore Chapter of PMI.  He is also an occasional lecturer in Operations and Project Management at the Sellinger School of Business, Loyola University Maryland, and other organizations.
 
Stephanie L. Sherman
Member and Finance Director

Stephanie Sherman is Finance Director for Capstan and the managing partner for Susquehanna Financial Services.  At Susquehanna, she is responsible for all strategic financial and operational direction and investment decisions for the company, including growth and development.

Prior to founding Susquehanna Financial Services in 2012, Sherman spent fifteen years at Timber Industries, a shipping materials and logistics firm. She was promoted to Secretary and Treasurer in 2006. She was appointed to CEO in June 2008 where she was instrumental in maximizing innovative strategies, product diversification, and business acquisition strategy to drive profitability for all branches of the company. She remained in this position until the company’s sale in March of 2013.  Prior to joining Timber Industries, Ms. Sherman spent six years as a Hospitality Manager for Fortune 500 companies.
